X Ray Technician Program

X-Ray Technician Programs

X-Ray Technicians (Limited Scope) perform radiological services on specific parts of the body.

The X-Ray Technologist program offered by Anthem Education schools and colleges  teaches students the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology. They learn about disease processes and trauma and how they can impact various body systems. Emphasis is placed on the skeletal and respiratory systems.

(This program is also known as  are called Basic X-Ray Machine Operator and X-ray Technician and Practical Technologist in Radiology, depending on the Anthem Education campus.)

Limited Scope X-Ray Technician Training

Students in all our x-ray programs study theory and concepts of radiographic physics. They are taught patient care procedures and basic office administrative procedures.

Students who complete the Limited Scope X-Ray Tech diploma can compete for entry level X-ray Technician / Basic Machine Operator positions. Most of these positions are in hospitals (about 60%), while other graduates can find employment in outpatient centers, diagnostic labs, and in physician offices. As part of the healthcare sector, new X-Ray Technician graduates can expect a positive jobs outlook.
