Medical Assistant

Diploma Program

Clinical and Administrative Medical Assistant Training

Medical assistant programs prepare students to provide clinical and administrative support in medical offices.

Anthem College—Phoenix offers a Diploma in Medical Assistant for students interested in entering the field.

The medical assistant program focuses on clinical and administrative training. Students take courses in clinical and laboratory procedures, as well as different body systems such as circulatory and respiratory systems. They study health science, insurance and bookkeeping as well.

Many of our students participate in volunteer activities related to their studies. Some even ventured out in extreme heat to deliver water to homeless people in Phoenix.

At Anthem College, we want to give our students the support they need to succeed. We offer:

  • Student services that help students remain in school
  • Day and evening classes
  • Real-world labs
  • Academic advising, tutoring and study groups organized by the Education Department
  • Supportive community environment

After completing coursework, students must participate in an externship. The externship gives them valuable experience and the opportunity to practice their skills in professional settings.

If you did not earn a high school diploma or GED, contact us to talk about the education choices you have.
