North Brunswick is close to New York’s and Philadelphia’s active medical communities, where more than a combined 30,000 physicians practice. The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development says the state’s healthcare market is a steady one as well.

Anthem’s medical assistant students study anatomy and body systems. They learn sterilization, venipuncture, injection techniques, and electrocardiogram administration. They take administrative and clinical courses that range from assisting with exams and treatment to medical office procedures and administration.

Medical Assistant Externships Provide Real-World Experience

After completing all coursework, students enter an externship to practice and gain real-world experience in a healthcare setting.

Anthem Institute focuses on student success. Our students learn in classes where they can receive personalized attention. They practice their skills in labs created to look like medical offices. Education staff meet with each student to provide academic advising and map out schedules, and who can arrange for tutoring if needed and organize study groups. A dedicated Student Services Department can help students get outside services they need to stay in school.
