Associate of Applied Science Degree

Massage therapy students acquire the technical skills needed to work in this field. Some programs also prepare students to manage a massage therapy business or launch their own enterprises.

Anthem College—Brookfield (Milwaukee, WI) offers an Associate of Applied Science in Massage Therapy that prepares students to work in and manage a massage therapy business or open one of their own. Anthem College emphasizes business practices alongside diverse massage therapy modalities, body systems study and trigger point and stress relief therapies.

Clinical courses train student in various massage therapy modalities, including Swedish, sports, respiratory, geriatric, spa and integumentary massage applications. Students also study trigger point therapy, posture, body systems, hydrotherapy, and Oriental and adjunctive modalities.

Additional coursework covers business topics such as communications, financial principles, computer applications and risk management.

At Anthem College, we want to give our students the support they need to succeed.  We offer day and evening classes to accommodate our students’ busy schedules. We also provide:

The program prepares graduates to sit for the National Certification Exam for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork or the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination.

After successfully completing coursework, students are placed in a supervised clinic where they practice in supervised real-world settings.
