Anthem College – Maryland Heights
Established in 1981, Anthem College – Maryland Heights offers career-focused training programs in the healthcare field.
Anthem College trains students by blending coursework with work in labs designed to look like actual medical facilities. Students work in the labs to develop and perfect the skills their employers will expect them to have mastered.
Hands-on Medical Disaster Training
Each year, we hold a Trauma Day where students practice their skills in a simulated medical disaster. Volunteers role-play injuries caused by bombings to plane crashes to earthquakes (Missouri is actually on an earthquake fault). Students triage patients, assist with surgeries, provide patient care, and dispense pharmaceuticals. Read more about our Trauma Day events.
We are dedicated to graduating career-focused professionals whose skills match the needs of today’s medical employers.
If you did not earn a high school diploma or GED and are interested in our programs, please contact us to talk about the education choices you have.
Healthcare jobs actually increased in the St. Louis area during the recession and continued to grow throughout 2011, according to information from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Hospitals and healthcare systems such as SSM Healthcare, BJC HealthCare, the Sisters of Mercy Health System, and Tenet Healthsystem are some of the area’s major employers. Overall, there are more than 100 hospitals and 6300 physicians practicing in the region.
At Anthem College, we understand that it is important to know how much college will cost. Our Total Program Charges include the cost of tuition, books, uniforms, supplies and testing fees (when applicable).
