Diploma Program

Massage therapy students learn massage techniques to relieve pain caused by injury or illness.

massage therapy training Anthem Institute—Las Vegas offers a Diploma in Massage Therapy for students interested in starting a career in massage therapy. The program prepares students for the National Certification Exam for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCETMB).

Range of Massage Therapy Modalities Taught

Students are trained in different modalities used throughout the profession, such as Swedish, sport, spa, maternity, and geriatric massage applications, as well as trigger point therapy. Other classes cover anatomy, physiology, and pathology as they relate to bodily injury.

Student success is the Number One goal at Anthem Institute. Our programs are designed to put students first and include:

  • Real-world training labs
  • A Student Services Department that helps students get services they need to stay in school
  • An Education Department whose staff provide academic advising, arrange for tutoring and organize study groups
  • Participation in community events, such as Las Vegas’ annual Back 2 School Nights

The massage therapy Diploma program prepares students to compete for entry-level massage therapy positions in clinical or sport facility settings, including orthopedic, chiropractic, physical therapy offices, golf resorts, and spas.

A class on business practices discusses ethics and standard business practices concerning hygiene, first aid, and CPR. It also introduces content on starting and promoting a massage therapy business.

After successfully completing all coursework, students work in a massage therapy clinic on campus and deliver massages to paying customers under supervision from instructors. The clinic, which is open to the public, recently added hot stone and aroma therapy massage as well.
