Diploma Program

Massage therapy students learn different types of massage techniques to relieve pain caused by injury or illness.

Students can earn a Massage Therapy Diploma at Anthem Institute—Jersey City, which offers hands-on education for persons interested in entering this career. The program teaches them the skills they need to compete for entry-level massage therapy positions in clinical or sport facilities, or even businesses such as salons and cruise ships.

Massage Therapy Program with a Range of Training

Students are taught Swedish, respiratory/geriatric, sports, and spa massage applications, as well as trigger point therapies. Other courses discuss body systems, nutrition, and hydrotherapy. The program prepares students to take the National Certification Exam for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCETMB).

A course on business practices focuses on how to launch and promote a massage therapy business. It also discusses ethics and standard business practices concerning hygiene, first aid, and CPR.

Anthem Institute is dedicated to our students’ success. We support their education by providing a class environment where they can get personalized instruction and are encouraged to ask questions. In addition, our Education Department staff meets with each student to provide academic advising, arrange for tutoring services if needed, and helps organize study groups. Students who need outside services can turn to our Student Services Department for guidance and referrals.

After successfully completing all coursework, students complete a supervised clinic.
