Basic Massage Therapy

Diploma Program

Massage therapy students learn to provide massage to relieve pain caused by injury or illness.

Anthem College—Irving (Dallas, TX) offers a Diploma in Basic Massage Therapy that provides the level of training required by the state of Texas to become a licensed massage therapist. Students study massage techniques and Swedish massage, as well as hydrotherapy and kinesiology.

Clinical courses cover anatomy, physiology and pathology. A course on health and human hygiene discusses sanitation, first aid and ethics. Our instructors hold applicable licenses necessary to practice massage therapy in Texas. One of them even achieved a perfect score on his licensing exam!

Students also take a course on laws and rules for massage therapists that also discusses business concepts, including developing a business plan and marketing.

Day and Night Massage Therapy Diploma Programs

At Anthem College, we want to give our students the support they need to succeed.  Our program classes are available during the day and in the evenings so you can pick the time that best fits your schedule. We also provide:

• Academic advising, tutoring and study groups organized by the Education Department
• Supportive community environment

After successfully completing all coursework, students work in an onsite massage therapy clinic at the College, supervised by instructors. This gives them experience working with paying clients.
